A crisp pinot with luscious fruit and a tangy finish. Wish I had more.

The nose of this wine is slightly off-dry with subtle stone-fruit notes. The body is light to medium in weight and the palate is mainly peach and pear. Overall it is balanced and easy drinking, but lacks a substantial finish and is not particularly distinctive.

The 2012 Peller Estates Pinot Gris is a crowd pleaser for every member of the Family. A refreshing Pinot Gris with aromas of Bartlet pear and stone fruit. A pleasant medium body wine with plenty of acidity and a touch of sweetness. This can be enjoyed on its own on a hot sunny day, or shared around the dinner table paired up with rosemary chicken.

I served this Pinot Gris with a mushroom and onion quiche at a brunch recently with friends. It was definitely a hit!
