This Chardonnay is medium to full-bodied, slightly rich, with balancing acidity. Flavours of tropical fruit, apple, pear, spice, oak, and cream glide across the palate. Spiced baked apple and pear, tropical fruit, grilled lemon, and oak barrel spice mingle together on the lingering finish.
WINE MAKING
Harvested from long standing growers for Peller Estates, Huebel and Fruithaven vineyards, within the Four Mile Creek sub-appellation. 100% of the juice was barrel fermented, then aged for 10 months in 100% French oak barriques (a mix of new and older oak). No malolactic fermentation, therefore preserving a touch of fresh acidity.
